Before you convert

A clear path from source to output.

  1. 01

    Prepare the source

Start with a bank or credit-card QBO, not an investment OFX. The source account type is used to choose Bank or CCard in the QIF header.

  2. 02

    Review the transformation

The output retains dates, signed amounts, payees and memos. FITIDs, bank-specific types and check numbers are not included by this exporter. The conversion panel asks you to acknowledge this boundary before download.

  3. 03

    Check the destination

Import into a test account first and compare the transaction count and net movement. A file accepted by one finance application is not a guarantee that every Quicken edition will offer the same account import choices.

What to check in the preview

Compare the record count, date range, deposits and withdrawals with your source. A download is not a completed import or an account reconciliation.

The tool handles one local file up to 5 MB. Invalid records block export. Format-specific limitations appear before you download.
